Car accidents are one of the most common causes of neck and back pain. Injuries from a car accident often take longer to heal than other types of injuries. This is due to the physical and emotional trauma that’s often involved motor vehicle accidents. Your chiropractic doctor has the skills to assess and treat injuries such as whiplash, headaches, low back pain, thoracic pain and more.
ICBC Treatment North Vancouver: How the program works:
If you have been in a car accident you likely qualify for the ICBC program. If ICBC accepts your claim, it will pay for 100% of your initial chiropractic treatment appointment. For additional visits all or a large portion we be covered. ICBC will pay for a portion of your registered massage therapy appointment as well. This may require a note from your doctor. Please check with your ICBC adjustor regarding coverage for registered massage therapy.
You don’t need need a note from your medical doctor in order to start the ICBC Program. It’s best to book with a chiropractor as soon as possible after your accident to avoid delayed recovery.
Before your first visit please let the receptionist know what your ICBC claim number and adjustors name is. When you arrive you will need to about 20 minutes to fill out the appropriate forms. Please wear comfortable clothing like shorts, yoga or workout clothes to your appointments.
Your first visit will include the following:
Diagnosis and report of findings.
Treatment plan: this may include, spinal manipulation, spinal mobilization, soft-tissue therapy, laser therapy and rehabilitation.
